Rick Bixler
Executive Director
Hey, everyone! I'm Rick Bixler, our Executive Director of Child Development. I'm really looking forward to meeting you and your children! In the meantime, here’s a little bit about me:
My journey in childcare began in college when I worked with school-age kids enrolled in a summer program. Right then, I knew it was my true calling. So after graduating from Slippery Rock University with a degree in Business Administration and 40 Early Childhood credits, I began working at a preschool in Pittsburgh. I then moved on to become director of a childcare center in Penn Hills.
After two fulfilling years in that role, I was asked to establish a childcare center at Four Mile Church in Ohioville, where I spent an amazing 17 years. During my time at Four Mile, we opened two additional childcare centers and we were honored with the Best in the Valley award six times.
I am truly grateful for this new opportunity, and I’m excited to share my experience and love of learning with the community!
Lindsey Commesso
Office Manager
Hi there! I’m Lindsey Commesso, the Office Manager at Learning Lighthouse.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Geneva College and spent the last seven years as a preschool music teacher, where I loved nurturing creativity and a passion for learning in little ones.
Now, I’m excited to bring that same energy to my role, helping keep our office running smoothly and supporting our amazing team.
When I’m not at work, you can find me enjoying music, diving into a good book, or spending quality time with my family. I’m all about creativity and connection, both in the office and at home!
